Travel among the Enchanted Isles in refinement aboard the 16-guest Eminence, a luxury mega-catamaran with solar-powered systems and unique amenities, including 2-story loft suites and an infrared sauna. This spacious ship sails 4-, 5- and 8-day itineraries with two naturalist guides helping optimize the experience. Guests can enjoy opportunities for education, fitness, relaxation and upscale dining on board, with included gear for off-ship snorkeling and paddling.

Eminence operates two main 8-day itineraries, which can be combined to create a 15-day/14-night cruise with no repeated landing sites. There is also a shorter 5-day route and a 4-day route that each offer a variation of the 8-day Eminence Eastern Galapagos Islands Cruise. You may also customize your trip to be 11 or 12 days.

The 8-day Eastern Eminence cruise operates round-trip from Baltra and visits the islands of Santa Cruz, Genovesa, South Plaza, Santa Fe, San Cristobal, Espanola and Floreana. Highlights include the bird-rich Genovesa, the colorful South Plaza, the (seasonal) waved albatross only found on Espanola, and the green beach of Floreana.

The 8-day Western Eminence cruise operates round-trip from Baltra and visits the islands of Santa Cruz, Isabela, Fernandina, Santiago, Bartolome, Chinese Hat and North Seymour. Highlights include the uncommonly visited Tintoreras lava islets off the coast of Isabela, seeking Galapagos penguins along Isabela, the iconic Pinnacle Rock at Bartolome and Galapagos land iguanas on Santa Cruz.

The 5-day Northern Eminence cruise operates from Baltra to San Cristobal and visits the islands of Santa Cruz, Genovesa, South Plaza and Santa Fe. Highlights include seeking the short-eared owl at Genovesa, the cactus trees of Santa Fe and the giant tortoises at the San Cristobal Breeding Center. The 5-day Northern Eminence cruise encompasses the final 5 days of the longer 8-day Eastern Eminence Cruise.

The 4-day Southern Eminence cruise operates from San Cristobal to Baltra and visits the islands of Espanola, Floreana and Santa Cruz. Highlights include snorkeling near the iconic Kicker Rock, the white-sand beach of Espanola, the intriguing human history of Floreana and giant tortoises in the Highlands of Santa Cruz. The 4-day Southern Eminence cruise encompasses the final 4 days of the longer 8-day Eastern Eminence Cruise.

Every Eminence Galapagos cruise leaves guests with unforgettable experiences on par with our many Galapagos luxury cruise options. However, a custom route is also an option when booking this roomy catamaran as one of our private Galapagos yacht charters for your group of 16 or fewer.

Visit eight Galapagos Islands, embarking in Baltra and visiting Santa Cruz, Genovesa, South Plaza, Santa Fe, San Cristobal, Espanola, Floreana and back to Santa Cruz before disembarking at Baltra Island.

Route map of Eminence 8-day East Galapagos cruise, round-trip from Baltra with visits to Santa Cruz, Genovesa, South Plaza, Santa Fe, San Cristobal, Espanola & Floreana.

Arrive at Baltra airport in the morning and be met by Eminence’s guides and transferred to the yacht. Take some time to settle into your cabin before lunch and a welcome briefing.

In the afternoon, visit Bachas Beach, located on the northern coast of Santa Cruz Island. This peaceful stretch of white sand offers a soft introduction to the Galapagos landscape. Behind the beach, small lagoons attract flamingos and coastal birds, while marine iguanas rest along the shore. The calm waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling, where guests may observe tropical fish, rays, and occasionally sea lions, in their natural habitat.

In the morning, arrival to Genovesa Island, one of the most remote and wildlife-rich locations in the archipelago. The visit begins at El Barranco, also known as Prince Philip’s Steps. A rocky staircase leads to a plateau where large colonies of seabirds gather. This area is known for red-footed boobies nesting in trees, along with Nazca boobies, frigatebirds and storm petrels. The open views and volcanic terrain create a dramatic setting for observing birdlife.

In the afternoon, visit Darwin Bay, located within the caldera of Genovesa. A sandy beach leads to a trail surrounded by nesting colonies of frigatebirds and boobies. Sea lions rest near the shoreline, and marine iguanas can be seen along the rocks. The calm waters offer excellent snorkeling conditions, where rays, reef fish and other marine life can often be observed.

In the morning, explore South Plaza Island, a small island with a high concentration of wildlife. The trail crosses a landscape of volcanic rock and colorful vegetation, where land iguanas are commonly seen resting beneath cactus trees. Along the cliffs, seabirds glide with the ocean breeze, while sea lions gather near the shoreline. The contrast of colors and wildlife density makes this visit especially engaging.

In the afternoon, visit Santa Fe Island, known for its calm bay and distinctive vegetation. The island is home to large cactus trees and an endemic species of land iguana. A walk inland offers opportunities to observe these animals in their natural environment. Along the beach, sea lions often rest or swim nearby, and snorkeling in the bay may reveal colorful fish and playful marine life.

In the morning, visit Pitt Point, located on the eastern side of San Cristobal Island. This is one of the few places where three species of boobies can be seen in the same area. A trail leads from the beach up through volcanic terrain to viewpoints overlooking the coastline. Along the way, seabirds and sea lions are commonly observed. The surrounding waters also offer good conditions for snorkeling.

In the afternoon, visit Witch Hill, one of the most scenic beaches in the area. The wide white sand beach opens to views of Kicker Rock in the distance. Sea lions are often present along the shore, and nearby lagoons attract coastal birds. The calm waters are suitable for swimming and snorkeling, offering a relaxed coastal experience.

In the morning, visit the Interpretation Center on San Cristobal Island. This site provides insight into the natural and human history of the Galapagos. Exhibits explain the formation of the islands, conservation efforts and the importance of protecting this unique environment. It is a valuable introduction to the broader context of the archipelago.

In the afternoon, navigation continues toward Kicker Rock, a striking volcanic formation rising from the ocean. The surrounding waters are among the most notable snorkeling sites in the Galapagos, with opportunities to observe sea turtles, rays, reef fish and occasionally sharks. The excursion also includes Lobos Island, where a short walk reveals nesting seabirds and colonies of sea lions resting along the shore.

In the morning, visit Suarez Point, one of the most important wildlife sites in the Galapagos. The trail passes through colonies of marine iguanas and nesting seabirds. Blue footed boobies can be seen performing courtship displays, while Nazca boobies nest along the ground. During the season, waved albatross may also be observed. Along the cliffs, waves crash against the rocks, creating a powerful blowhole.

In the afternoon, visit Gardner Bay, a long stretch of white-sand beach on Española Island. Sea lions rest along the shore, and the surrounding waters are ideal for snorkeling. Near Osborn Islet, guests may encounter rays, sea turtles, and a variety of reef fish. The calm setting offers a relaxed and scenic contrast to the morning visit.

In the morning, visit Baroness Viewpoint, a scenic site overlooking the coastline and connected to the human stories of the island’s early settlers. Continue to nearby Post Office Bay, a historic location where travelers have exchanged letters since the 18th century through a wooden barrel. Guests may take part in this tradition by leaving or collecting postcards.

In the afternoon, visit Punta Cormorant, known for its green-colored beach formed by mineral deposits. A nearby lagoon often hosts flamingos and other bird species. A short trail leads to a second beach where sea turtles may nest. Offshore, Champion Islet offers excellent snorkeling conditions, with chances to observe sea lions, rays, reef sharks and schools of fish.
