Crew and guides include the captain, a bilingual Galapagos National Park naturalist guide, a quality control manager and eight other crew (first mate, chef, sous chef, engineer, assistant engineer, sailor, barman, housekeeper). All equipment aboard Ocean Spray meets or exceeds the international SOLAS standard; satellite phone is available.

Snorkeling gear and wetsuits are available for use aboard Ocean Spray, as are walking sticks, 4 double kayaks and 2 stand-up paddleboards for further exploring the Galapagos Islands up close, off ship.
