8-Day East Itinerary (8A)
The 8-day Infinity Eastern Galapagos Islands small ship cruise begins on Baltra Island then visits Santa Cruz, Genovesa, Santiago, Rabida, Floreana and Espanola islands before disembarking in San Cristobal.
Take a morning flight from mainland Ecuador and arrive to Baltra. After going through immigration and baggage claim, you will be met by a representative and transferred to the Galapagos Infinity. Settle into your cabin before lunch and a welcome briefing. In the afternoon, visit Black Turtle Cove in the northern part of Santa Cruz. This inlet is surrounded by mangroves and is only accessible by dinghy. The shallow cove is a haven for young marine life. Black-tip and white-tip reef sharks, sea turtles and a variety of rays are often spotted here.
Genovesa Island contains an abundance of frigatebirds and other interesting seabirds. Behind the small beach filled with nesting areas for frigates, red-footed boobies and swallow-tailed gulls are a number of tide pools. The morning visit is to El Barranco which is also known as Prince Phillip’s Steps. El Barranco’s steep and rocky path leads up to a high cliff-face with a marvelous view. This site is home to Palo Santo vegetation as well as red-footed boobies, short-eared lava owls, Galapagos swallows and Galapagos doves. In the afternoon, visit the white-sand coral beach of Darwin Bay, with its half-mile trail that winds through mangroves filled with land birds. Nazca boobies, red-footed boobies and swallow-tailed gulls can be spotted here. Farther down the path are tidal pools where sea lions swim playfully and at the end of the path there is a spectacular view off the cliff.
The morning visit heads to Sullivan Bay located on the southeast part of Santiago. This place is interesting for its geology including small volcanoes formed by lava flows. In the afternoon visit Rabida Island (or Jervis) which is one of the most colorful and volcanically varied islands in the archipelago as well as a great snorkeling site. Start on Rabida’s famous maroon/red sand beach and after an easy hike arrive to a stunning lookout point to enjoy the amazing landscapes. The island is a birdwatcher’s delight with some of the rarest species in abundance such as nine varieties of finches, large-billed flycatchers, Galapagos hawks and brown pelicans.
Start today with a visit to the Fausto Llerena Tortoise Breeding Center, home to tortoises ranging from three inches (new hatchlings) to four feet long. Subspecies of tortoises interact with one another and many of the older tortoises are accustomed to humans, stretching out their heads for a photo opportunity. The babies are kept here until they are about four years old and strong enough to survive on their own. Afterwards, enjoy the El Chato reserve, which is divided into two areas: Caseta and Chato. The trail begins at Santa Rosa, 13.7 miles from Puerto Ayora, with the Caseta route being the most challenging. Observe giant tortoises in the wild during the dry season and watch for short-eared owls, Darwin’s finches, yellow warblers, Galapagos rails and paint-billed crakes.
In the morning, visit Dragon Hill on Santa Cruz. Situated on Santa Cruz Island, Dragon Hill is one of the newest visitor sites accessible to tourists in the Galapagos Islands. One of the lengthier Galapagos walking trails will lead visitors along a beach and up a trail to the lagoon lookout where bright flamingos, pintail ducks and land iguanas can be spotted. In the afternoon visit Bachas Beach, located on the north shore of Santa Cruz. Bachas is a swimming beach. One of the few remnants of the U.S. World War II presence in the Galapagos, a floating pier, can be seen here. Hope to see flamingos, Sally Lightfoot crabs, hermit crabs, black-necked stilts and whimbrels. Sea turtles also nest on the beach.
In the morning visit the famous Post Office Bay. Land on the beach and head to a spot where 18th-century whalers placed a wooden barrel for use as an unofficial mailbox. The custom continues to this day with Galapagos visitors, so remember your postcards and don’t be surprised if the postcard arrives to its destination before you even get home! In the afternoon, head to Cormorant Point for a hike to a salt-water lagoon which is home to flamingos. Also enjoy the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear waters of the Devil’s Crown. This extinct volcano peaks out of the waters just off of Floreana’s coast and offers a magnificent snorkeling experience.
Espanola Island is the southernmost island of the Galapagos and is the breeding site of nearly all of the waved albatrosses in the entire world. The morning trip starts with Suarez Point and a trail revealing opportunities to see blue-footed boobies, albatrosses and Nazca boobies. Espanola is the breeding site of nearly all of the world’s 12,000 pairs of waved albatrosses. Also visit an oceanfront cliff that the large albatrosses use as a launching pad, and the famous blowhole. The landscape is great for photography. In the afternoon, visit the spectacular Gardner Bay. After landing, walk across a lovely white-sand beach amongst a busy sea lion colony or dive into the water to swim with sea lion pups. Look for curious mockingbirds on the beach.
In the morning visit The Interpretation Center which opened in 1998 as a phase of the project “Interpretation and Environment Education Project.” Enjoy exhibitions on natural history, human history and conservation. The conservation efforts represent the movement to protect the wildlife and natural environment through means of population and tourist control. After this final visit, be transferred to the San Cristobal airport in time for your flight back to the mainland.

Arrival & Departure
Most flights to the Galapagos will depart Quito or Guayaquil between 6:00am and 11:00am on Day 1 and return between 2:00pm and 6:00pm on the final day. We highly recommend travelers arrive to Ecuador two days prior to their Galapagos cruise. If you would like assistance with international flights, please visit our Booking Flights resource page. Note: Your passport must be valid 6 months after your Ecuador trip concludes.
Internal Flights
Flights from mainland Ecuador (Quito or Guayaquil) to the Galapagos are not included in the cruise price, but are arranged for you by AdventureSmith Explorations through your ship. Your Adventure Specialist will book these flights for you on the scheduled Galapagos flight for your particular departure. Airfares vary by departure; your Adventure Specialist will detail these for you in their proposal and on your invoice. On flights from mainland Ecuador to the Galapagos Islands, baggage weight limits are currently 50 pounds for checked items, and 17 pounds for carry-on plus a small personal item. Subject to change.
Activities
There are numerous opportunities to swim and snorkel. The underwater experience is an integral part of any Galapagos cruise. We encourage all travelers to try snorkeling. Wetsuits are available, either free of charge or to rent for a fee (see Inclusions and Exclusions), and are recommended from June to December.
Daily excursions from the boat to the islands will be made in pangas (inflatable skiffs). Trip members will hike from the landing point to specific areas for wildlife observation. Hiking time for most landings will be a couple of hours round-trip with lots of time to stop to study, photograph and enjoy the flora and fauna. Some landings are dry but many are “wet,” requiring cautious footing on slippery rocks. The boat staff will be on hand to assist.

Single travelers wishing to book a double-occupancy cabin may do so at an 50% supplement of the per-person listed rate in select cabins upon availability. Groups of 4-18 passengers will receive a 10% discount.
Families & Children
Children up to 14 years and 11 months old receive 20% off the double occupancy rate. Kids 6 years and older are welcome aboard all departure dates for individual bookings. On select departures, kids ages 6–14 may also enjoy dedicated onboard activities including a bridge tour, tailored kids menus, ice cream festival, family-friendly movie night, wildlife trivia and games, plus occasional amenities and surprises.

8-Day West Itinerary (8B)
The 8-day Infinity Western Galapagos Islands small ship cruise begins on San Cristobal Island then visits Santa Fe, South Plaza, Santa Cruz, Isabela, Fernandina, Santiago, Bartolome and North Seymour islands before disembarking in Baltra.
Take a morning flight from mainland Ecuador and arrive to San Cristobal. After going through immigration and baggage claim, you will be met by a representative and transferred to the Galapagos Infinity. Settle into your cabin before lunch and a welcome briefing. In the afternoon, first visit the Jacinto Gordillo Breeding Center, a new visitor site in the northeast part of San Cristóbal Island that takes approximately 1 hour by road from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. At the Breeding Center admire the hatchling turtles which are housed from their birth until they are four years old. Next visit Puerto Chino, located roughly 15 miles from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and a few miles from the Breeding Center Cerro Colorado. Walk to the beach (approximately 30 minutes).
This morning, visit Santa Fe Island (Barrington) which is home to the small picturesque bay and anchorage on the island’s northeast coast. The bay has two visitor trails: one leading to a scenic viewpoint atop a cliff and the other spanning from a small beach to a tall prickly pear cactus forest. In the afternoon, head to South Plaza Island where steep cliffs were formed by rising lava and is now covered by opuntia cacti. The island is home to one of the largest sea lion colonies as well as colorful yellow and red land iguanas. The most characteristic plant is sesuvium; during the rainy season its color is a greenish to yellowish tone and in the dry season (end of June through January), a bright red.
Today visit Fausto Llerena Tortoise Breeding Center. This is home to tortoises ranging from three inches (new hatchlings) to four feet long. Subspecies of tortoises interact with one another and many of the older tortoises are accustomed to humans, stretching out their heads for a photo opportunity. The babies are kept here until they are about four years old and strong enough to survive on their own. The afternoon visit is to a site called Los Gemelos (Twin Craters). The sinkholes, found at the end of a short hike, are often referred to as craters, though the term is only descriptive, not literal. They were created by the collapse of surface material in underground fissures and chambers. The endemic scalesia forest surrounds the site where there may be vermillion flycatchers, short-eared owls and finches.
Moreno Point, located southwest of Elizabeth Bay, offers a dry landing onto what was once flowing lava. The lava has left craters in its wake which formed crystal tide pools. Look into the pools and peer into another world as the marine life drifts by. In the brackish pools of this area, you may see pink flamingos, white-cheeked pintails and common gallinules. If you look carefully into the pools, you may see white-tip reef sharks and some sea turtles. In the afternoon visit Elizabeth Bay on the east coast of Isabela Island. The bay contains many islets, which can be visited by panga. Penguins and blue-footed boobies can be spotted on the rocky islets. With an abundance of marine life and clear water, the area is perfect for snorkeling and viewing schools of colorful fish, sea lions and perhaps even sharks.
Urbina Bay is located at the base of Alcedo Volcano on the west coast between Tagus Cove and Elizabeth Bay. This area experienced a major uplift in 1954 causing the land to rise over 16 feet. The coast expanded half a mile out leaving marine life stranded on the new shore. This area is also a great place for snorkeling. In the afternoon, visit Tagus Cove on Isabela Island. This spot has been frequented by ships since the 1800s, using the area as an anchorage site. Trails winding by Lake Darwin up to a ridge display wonderful views.
In the morning visit Fernandina Island, one of the world’s most pristine island ecosystems. Fernandina is the youngest island in the Galapagos. The volcano “La Cumbre” dominates the landscape with lava fields reaching the ocean. Crossing the Bolivar Channel, land at Espinosa Point and after walking past a colony of marine iguanas and a group of sea lions, reach the island’s highlight: the flightless cormorant nesting site. This area also provides a great opportunity to see the Galapagos hawk. In the afternoon, head to Isabela Island, the largest and one of the youngest and most volcanically active in the archipelago. The afternoon visit is at Vicente Roca Point. Comprised of two separate coves, this site is a large bay with spectacular sea life. Keep an eye out for seahorses, sea turtles and the strange yet fascinating mola mola (or sunfish).
Egas Port, also known as James Bay, on Santiago Island is home to the curious Galapagos hawks and quick-footed Galapagos lava lizards. The trail leads to the coastline with gorgeous tide pools and grottos full of fauna. Here the Galapagos furseals bathe in the sun. This is also a great snorkeling site. Bartolome consists of an extinct volcano with a variety of red, orange, black and even green volcanic formations. Take a trail of stairs to the summit of the volcano (about 30 or 40 minutes) to enjoy one of the best views of the islands. Also visit a small, beautiful beach surrounded by the only vegetation found on this barren island. The beach is perfect for snorkeling, with possibilities to see Galapagos penguins.
At North Seymour see Galapagos sea lions, blue-footed boobies and magnificent frigatebirds. The island was formed by a series of submarine lava-containing layers of sediment that were uplifted by tectonic activity. The island is characterized by its arid vegetation zone. After this final visit, be transferred to Baltra airport in time for your flight back to the mainland.

5-Day South Itinerary (5A)

Arrival & Departure
Most flights to the Galapagos will depart Quito or Guayaquil between 6:00am and 11:00am on Day 1 and return between 2:00pm and 6:00pm on the final day. We highly recommend travelers arrive to Ecuador two days prior to their Galapagos cruise. If you would like assistance with international flights, please visit our Booking Flights resource page. Note: Your passport must be valid 6 months after your Ecuador trip concludes.
Internal Flights
Flights from mainland Ecuador (Quito or Guayaquil) to the Galapagos are not included in the cruise price, but are arranged for you by AdventureSmith Explorations through your ship. Your Adventure Specialist will book these flights for you on the scheduled Galapagos flight for your particular departure. Airfares vary by departure; your Adventure Specialist will detail these for you in their proposal and on your invoice. On flights from mainland Ecuador to the Galapagos Islands, baggage weight limits are currently 50 pounds for checked items, and 17 pounds for carry-on plus a small personal item. Subject to change.
Activities
There are numerous opportunities to swim and snorkel. The underwater experience is an integral part of any Galapagos cruise. We encourage all travelers to try snorkeling. Wetsuits are available, either free of charge or to rent for a fee (see Inclusions and Exclusions), and are recommended from June to December.
Daily excursions from the boat to the islands will be made in pangas (inflatable skiffs). Trip members will hike from the landing point to specific areas for wildlife observation. Hiking time for most landings will be a couple of hours round-trip with lots of time to stop to study, photograph and enjoy the flora and fauna. Some landings are dry but many are “wet,” requiring cautious footing on slippery rocks. The boat staff will be on hand to assist.
Room Configuration
Single travelers wishing to book a double-occupancy cabin may do so at an 50% supplement of the per-person listed rate in select cabins upon availability. Groups of 4-18 passengers will receive a 10% discount.
Families & Children
Children up to 14 years and 11 months old receive 20% off the double occupancy rate. Kids 6 years and older are welcome aboard all departure dates for individual bookings. On select departures, kids ages 6–14 may also enjoy dedicated onboard activities including a bridge tour, tailored kids menus, ice cream festival, family-friendly movie night, wildlife trivia and games, plus occasional amenities and surprises.

4-Day North Itinerary (4A)
The 4-day Infinity Northern Galapagos Islands small ship cruise begins on Baltra Island then visits Santa Cruz, Genovesa, Santiago and Rabida islands before disembarking in Santa Cruz.
Take a morning flight from mainland Ecuador and arrive to Baltra. After going through immigration and baggage claim, you will be met by a representative and transferred to the Galapagos Infinity. Settle into your cabin before lunch and a welcome briefing. In the afternoon, visit Black Turtle Cove in the northern part of Santa Cruz. This inlet is surrounded by mangroves and is only accessible by panga. The shallow cove is a haven for young marine life. Black-tip and white-tip reef sharks, sea turtles and a variety of rays are often spotted here.
Genovesa Island contains an abundance of frigatebirds and other interesting seabirds. Behind the small beach filled with nesting areas for frigates, red-footed boobies and swallow-tailed gulls are a number of tide pools. The morning visit is to El Barranco which is also known as Prince Phillip’s Steps. El Barranco’s steep and rocky path leads up to a high cliff-face with a marvelous view. This site is home to Palo Santo vegetation as well as red-footed boobies, short-eared lava owls, Galapagos swallows and Galapagos doves. In the afternoon, visit the white-sand coral beach of Darwin Bay, with its half-mile trail that winds through mangroves filled with land birds. Nazca boobies, red-footed boobies and swallow-tailed gulls can be spotted here. Further down the path are tidal pools where sea lions swim playfully and at the end of the path there is a spectacular view off the cliff.
The morning visit heads to Sullivan Bay located on the southeast part of Santiago. This place is interesting for its geology including small volcanoes formed by lava flows. In the afternoon visit Rabida Island (or Jervis) which is one of the most colorful and volcanically varied islands in the archipelago as well as a great snorkeling site. Start on Rabida’s famous maroon/red sand beach and after an easy hike arrive to a stunning lookout point to enjoy the amazing landscapes. The island is a birdwatcher’s delight with some of the rarest species in abundance such as nine varieties of finches, large-billed flycatchers, Galapagos hawks and brown pelicans.
Start today with a visit to the Fausto Llerena Tortoise Breeding Center, home to tortoises ranging from three inches (new hatchlings) to four feet long. Subspecies of tortoises interact with one another and many of the older tortoises are accustomed to humans, stretching out their heads for a photo opportunity. The babies are kept here until they are about four years old and strong enough to survive on their own. After this final visit, be transferred to the airport in time for your flight back to the mainland.

Common Areas Aboard Galapagos Infinity
Her modern design is clean, bright and inviting, with blue, white and gray accents complemented by natural wood flooring and furniture. Leather couches and view windows in the Lounge invite guests to gather, relax and take in the scenery from the Main Deck. The Dining Room's two tables of 10 offer open seating in a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. Enjoy a drink from the bar or 24-hour coffee and tea. Completing the Main Deck is the outdoor Porch, located at the aft of the yacht, with a restroom, wetsuit storage and comfortable seating.
The Upper Deck hosts a fully stocked outdoor bar with bench seating, as well as the open Bridge. Galapagos Infinity invites her guests to soak in some rays on her Sundeck, with al fresco dining, chaise loungers, cushioned day beds and a Jacuzzi. All equipment aboard Galapagos Infinity meets or exceeds the international SOLAS standard; a satellite phone is available. Starlink internet is available free of charge.
Dining Aboard Galapagos Infinity
Meals are served in a single seating in the dining room that features panoramic windows and two tables that fit 10 guests each. Some meals are served al fresco on the Sundeck, depending on the weather and itinerary. Fresh juices, fruits, salads and desserts typically accompany each meal. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style while dinner is often a plated affair. Each meal offers a mix of Ecuadorian, American and international fare. With advance notice, the chef can accommodate most special diets. Drinks on offer include sodas, juices and a coffee station. Alcoholic drinks are available at an added cost.
Crew & Guides Aboard Galapagos Infinity
Crew and guides aboard Infinity include the captain, two bilingual Galapagos National Park naturalist guides, a cruise director and 11 other crew members, including the first mate, second mate, chef, sous chef, engineer, assistant engineer, barman, and housekeeper.
Activities Aboard Galapagos Infinity
Galapagos Infinity has snorkeling gear and wetsuits available for the duration of the cruise, as well as four double kayaks for further exploring the Galapagos Islands off the ship. Daily excursions with naturalist guides include hikes to viewpoints and on beaches. You'll find optional hiking sticks available, and beach towels are provided for use on deck and on shore.
Cabins & Deck Plan Aboard Galapagos Infinity
Galapagos Infinity features 10 cabins, each with a private balcony, panoramic windows, sitting area, private bathroom, hot water and air-conditioning. Amenities in each cabin include a smart tv, biodegradable L'Occitane bathroom products (shampoo, conditioner and soap), hair dryers, bathrobes and a safety deposit box. Electrical outlets are 110v in cabins (220v in common areas).
