On this 8-day Alaska small ship cruise, join fellow adventurers on a very active backcountry itinerary. Cruise round-trip from Juneau to experience areas that no other boats visit and stretch those legs and imagination in all new areas.

Highlights include exploring the “Outback” of Glacier Bay National Park—rarely seen by visitors—and hiking through Chichagof Island under exclusive permits to the area. Enjoy all-day kayak and bushwhack opportunities, or days packed with other activities such as birding, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkeling, skiff tours or a shoreline campfire. Search for humpback, orca, seals, bears, moose, puffins, porpoise and more. And take in the mighty magic of the LeConte and Baird Glaciers.

Select adult-only and family-friendly departures offer a slightly different itinerary, featuring 3 unique days: in Hobart Bay, the Bay of Pillars, and Pavloff and Hidden Falls. These departures still circumnavigate Admiralty Island and operate round-trip from Juneau. The kid-friendly departures qualify this cruise for our list of Alaska family cruises.

The 86-guest Wilderness Legacy shepherds the full complement of adventurers from activity to activity. Her dance floor, saloon, yoga mats and two hot tubs engage travelers between each off-ship activity. And comfortable cabins opening onto the great outdoors offer charming views while cruising.
