Choose Jahan if you are seeking a luxurious looking glass into the beauty of Cambodia and Vietnam. She was built in 2011 and ushered in an era of opulent cruising. Aboard, guests are treated to grand staterooms, elegant public areas and all the five-star services of the finest accommodation.

Common Areas Aboard Jahan

Jahan is fully air-conditioned with expansive public areas over four decks. Outdoor areas include a covered open-air observatory, open bow and a small pool on the top deck. Her large lounge is at the heart of the ship, where guests gather each evening for a tradition called Recap. Bar service is available all day and until the last guest retires at night. Immediately adjacent are the reception area and the boutique. While the ship is luxurious, life aboard is casual in every regard, and there is no need for formal clothing. Shipboard services like laundry (added cost) make packing and traveling more convenient. The Upper Deck has a library, full service bar and facilities for films, slide shows and presentations. An open bridge policy encourages guests to meet the Captain and officers and learn about navigation.

Complimentary wireless internet is available in Jahan’s lobby; however, please note that internet speeds are considerably slower and on some stretches of the river internet access is not available. Outbound phone calls to anywhere are usually possible. A doctor is aboard Jahan and available 24 hours a day at no charge.

Dining Aboard Jahan

The dining room at the stern of the Terrace Deck easily accommodates all guests for a single seating with unassigned tables. Meals are an informal atmosphere with easy mingling. The menu is international, with a focus on the outstanding Vietnamese and Cambodian cuisines. Breakfast is served buffet-style, featuring freshly squeezed juices and a variety of fresh fruit, pastries and traditional breakfast offerings. Lunch is most often buffet-style. Dinners are plated and served in the dining room, though they may occasionally be held outside, conditions permitting. Tea is served in the observatory each day, and snacks are available at the funnel bar on the terrace deck. During lunch and dinner the expedition leader, cultural experts and any guest speakers aboard will join guests for meals, and during breakfast they often sit together to plan the logistics of the exciting day ahead.

Reusable bottles and a pitcher of filtered water are placed in each cabin every day. There is also 24-hour availability of hot coffee, tea and soda.

Activities Aboard Jahan

Greet the morning with Tai Chi stretching in the open air of the terrace deck. Soak up some sun on the open top deck by the pool or make use of the ship’s steam bath. The fitness room is equipped with several cardio machines for those who choose to work out while traveling. The ship’s Apsara Spa offers a broad range of massages and pampering treatments.
